The Brief

The brief for this project was to come up with a 3 colour T-shirt design that embraced world togetherness through creativity, by integrating elements of world music, world dance, and drawing upon the African roots from which man has evolved.

After discussing the brief with our client we set about creating the initial design layout with the concept of producing something creative and free-form that embodied dance through its overall shape and the flow of the design, whilst incorporating all of the other elements requested by the client at the same time.

Following the clients evaluation of the initial design they suggested that they would like something more organic, and also asked if it would be possible for us to integrate some additional images that they wished to use to represent their organisation.

The final design took these changes on board and whilst maintaining the overall embodiment of dance we created a more organic design interlaced with the photographic images provided by the client, and a number of African Adinkra symbols to further represent the African influence.

The design was submitted to the client in a number of colour schemes from which the desired scheme was chosen.
